Ricardo Vargus, a Holyoke, Massachusetts man, was arrested by police after a search of his apartment uncovered over 500 packets of heroin, a stolen gun and several rounds of ammunition, reports local newspaper, The Republican.
Police searched the 24-year-old's place of residence on an anonymous tip, discovering 522 packets of the narcotic in all. Authorities did not give the weight or value of the find but did say that among the rounds of ammo were hollow point bullets, according to local news source WGGB.
Vargas faces ten charges: possession of heroin, distribution of heroin, conspiracy to violate drug laws, drug violation near a school or public park, receiving stolen property, possession of a loaded gun, possession of a gun without a firearms identification card, ammunition possession without an FID card, and two counts of possession of a large-capacity weapon.
