JA Solar Holdings (JASO) reported a first quarter loss per share of RMB 1.06 or $0.17, compared to a loss of RMB 1.28 in the year ago quarter. Net revenue was RMB 1.7 billion or $270.0 million, an increase of 4.7% from RMB 1.6 billion or $258.0 million last year.
JA Solar gapped open higher Monday and rose steadily until mid-morning. The stock extended its gains in the final 2 hours of trade and closed up by 3.95 at $9.56 on the highest volume of the year. JA Solar surged past resistance and set a new high for the year.
