Campbell Soup Co. (CPB) reported third quarter adjusted EPS of $0.62 Monday morning, up from $0.56 in the previous year. The consensus estimate was for EPS of $0.56. Looking ahead to fiscal 2013, Campbell Soup now expects adjusted EPS of $2.58 to $2.62. The consensus estimate is for EPS of $2.56.
Campbell Soup opened higher Monday, but traded to the downside for the bulk of the session. Shares finished with a loss of 1.85 at $45.78 on above average volume. The stock slipped below a range at the highs of the year and set a one-month low.
