Police in Indiana made the largest heroin bust in 15 years following a traffic stop over the weekend.
When a man and woman inside the stopped vehicle were questioned, a police officer said their stories just did not match up, jconline.com reports. Their flawed story led officials to use their police dog to search the car.
The search revealed the driver, 29-year-old Tawanha Price, to be in possession of 75 individual baggies of heroin, which had a total street value of approximately $3,000. Each baggie had a street value of roughly $40 and the overall packaged weight of the narcotics was 29 grams, wlfi.com reports.
Price was arrested for dealing in a narcotic drug, while the passenger, 29-year-old Ryan Jeffers, was booked for conspiracy to deal in a narcotic drug.
More than $1,000 was also found in the vehicle.
