Telecom Plus PLC (TEP.L) reported profit before taxation of 34.63 million pounds for the year ended 31 March 2013, compared to 30.74 million pounds prior year. Profit and total comprehensive income attributable to owners of the parent rose to 27.07 million pounds or 38.1 pence per share, from 23.45 million pounds or 33.4 pence per share prior year.
Revenue increased to 601.51 million pounds from 471.46 million pounds last year. The company said the rise in revenue is due to continued strong organic growth in the number of customers using its services, an industry wide increase in energy prices last autumn, and a significant increase in the amount of energy used by customers during the year.
Telecom Plus said the final dividend of 18 pence per share will be paid on 2 August 2013 to shareholders on the register at the close of business on 19 July 2013. This makes a total dividend payable for the year of 31 pence.
