Home Depot Inc. (HD) reported first quarter EPS of $0.83 Tuesday morning, up from $0.68 in the previous year. The consensus estimate was for EPS of $0.77. The company also increased its full year 2013 EPS forecast to $3.52, from prior expectations of $3.37. The consensus estimate is for EPS of $3.54.
Home Depot gapped open sharply higher Tuesday and is now up 2.40 at $79.16. The stock has risen above a 1-week range and has set a new high for the year.
