Authorities in Wausau, Wisconsin have arrested a woman for the possession of heroin after she allegedly tried to steal food items from a grocery store on Sunday morning.

The Wausau Daily Herald reports that Amy L. Lo, 35, was arrested at the store on Sunday after the store's manager saw the woman taking items from the store and stuffing them in her purse and inside her bra. She was arrested when she tried to leave the store.

After apologizing for the theft, she offered to pay for the items she took, and when she began pulling the items out of her bra, a plastic bag containing what was later determined to be heroin popped fell of the brassiere.

Lo told authorities that the heroin was for her own personal use, however, authorities did not find any paraphernalia on her.

"The heroin was bagged into seven smaller baggies, and officers did not find any evidence Lo intended to use the heroin herself," said Marathon County Assistant District Attorney Lesli Pluster, who said that authorities found 3.54 grams of heroin on her packaged in other small bags.

"Typically in Marathon County, heroin is sold in quantities of 0.1 gram amounts," Pluster said. "That means Lo had enough heroin in her possession for more than 35 individual sales."

Lo faces over 16 years in prison if she is convicted on all her charges.
