Director Steven Spielberg is on board to be the executive producer of a live-action Halo TV series, Microsoft announced on Tuesday.
The new series will include exclusive interactive Xbox One content, which has been created in a partnership between 343 Industries and Xbox Entertainment Studios.
"For me, the 'Halo' universe is an amazing opportunity for the intersection" of "mythmaking and technology," Spielberg said via a video.
Rumors have already spread that the show will be called "World of Halo." Spielberg was not able to attend Microsoft's Xbox One event in Redmond, Wash. - however, he did appear on screen and said that the Halo franchise is "myth-making meat."
