Queen guitarist Brian May is sounding off against NBC's reality singing competition The Voice. In a post to his official website, May says he detests the show and considers it an "insult to music and performers."
"Sorry, hate to be negative but The Voice is the dullest, dumbest, most depressing show on TV," writes May. "It's the ultimate insult to music and to performers."
May wasn't done there, ratcheting up his crit of the program:
"Every time I catch a glimpse of young singers busting their guts trying to win somebody's attention, who is rudely sitting with their back to them . . . I feel sick. I hope this vile show dies a natural death very soon."
Jessie J, will.i.am and Tom Jones are all current judges on the UK edition of the show.
