A variety of drugs were found in the possession of a New Jersey teen following the events of a traffic stop.
The incident happened when an officer noticed the teen's vehicle had an equipment violation. He subsequently pulled over Derek Volta, 19 who was questioned by the official.
Volta appeared suspicious to the officer who initiated a vehicle search. The policeman discovered a "large quantity of marijuana and drug paraphernalia," New Jersey On-Line reports.
The department's detective bureau was then called in to assist the situation. After receiving permission from the teen to search his home and bedroom, more paraphernalia were found.
According to police, they found: suspected LSD, suspected Ecstasy, suspected marijuana, suspected psilocybin mushrooms, suspected hashish, suspected jurema root, and suspected drug paraphernalia, nj.com reports.
He was arrested and then taken to police headquarters where he was shortly released posting 10% of the bail. Volta now faces charges of possession of marijuana with intent to distribute, possession of LSD, possession of psilocybin mushrooms, possession of jurema root and possession of drug paraphernalia
