Pound Mixed Ahead Of U.K. GDP Data

At 4:30 am ET Thursday, the Office for National Statistics is scheduled to release second estimate for U.K. GDP. According to preliminary estimate, the economy expanded 0.3 percent in the first quarter.

Ahead of the data, the pound showed mixed trading against its major counterparts. While the pound advanced against the greenback, it fell against the franc and the euro. Against the yen, the pound held steady.

As of 4:25 am ET, the pound was worth 1.5061 against the greenback, 153.30 against the yen, 1.4573 against the franc and 0.8548 against the euro.
