The 38-year-old man, who, according to the Telegraph, was being treated for mental illness and depression, died upon impact. The girl was taken to the hospital but pronounced dead soon after her arrival.
The young girl, who was not identified, had left her apartment building with her parents. Neither her mother nor father were injured in the accident.
