Emma Roberts ("Scream 4") has joined the third season of "American Horror Story" from creator Ryan Murphy. According to TV Line, Roberts has been cast in the role of a party girl named Madison.

Other names already announced for "Coven" include Jessica Lange, Kathy Bates, Angela Bassett, Patti Lupone, Taissa Farmiga, Gabourey Sidibe, Sarah Paulson, Lily Rabe and Frances Conroy.

"It's a really cool story that we've been talking about for a couple of years, and this seemed like the year to do it," co-creator Ryan Murphy previously said of the program, which, for the upcoming season, is set in New Orleans.

"The fun thing is researching what are the really haunted places in America, and we have a couple doozy locales," added Murphy of the production process.
