Josh Homme offered some interesting insight into what it takes to front a band like Queens of the Stone Age in a recent interview with GQ magazine.

"I think people believe I'm some kind of evil dictator sometimes," Homme began. "But I don't much care about that. I'm not politically correct, I never said I was. I made a lot of hard decisions in my life."

"Sometimes hard decisions have to be made," the 39-year-old continued, "and sometimes wonderful decisions have to be made. You've got to be willing to make them all. You can't just avoid stuff that's necessary."

Homme wasn't so serious through the entire interview. The singer also discussed how Arctic Monkey's frontman Alex Turner, who guests on the band's new LP, reminds him of a "yoga teacher."

QOTSA's new album, Like Clockwork, is due June 3 on Matador Records.
