While launching a 2013 world tour in Romania this week, Megadeth debuted "Super Collider," the title track from the band's forthcoming release. Fan-shot footage of the performance is available through various streaming outlets, while the studio version of the song is available through iTunes.
Megadeth launched its latest tour on Wednesday in Bucharest, Romania and will continue on the road in Europe and in the U.K. through May and into June. The band will begin a North American tour in July, kicking off the trek on July 3 in Gilford, New Hampshire.
Talking about the new song to Guitar World magazine, frontman Dave Mustaine said: "That song kind of came from that 'Symphony Of Destruction' corner of my mind."
He added: "To me,'Super Collider' made sense like a normal song — a verse-chorus-verse-chorus kind of thing. It's written the way a real songwriter would write the song, instead of just taking all these musical twists and turns."
Due June 4, Super Collider will be available as limited-edition CD with a 3D cover and bonus tracks, regular CD, regular LP, limited LP plus seven-inch vinyl and digital download.
