Evan Peters Joins 'X-Men: Days Of Future Past'

Evan Peters ("American Horror Story") has joined the cast of "X-Men: Days of Future Past," the latest installment in the Marvel franchise, directed by Bryan Singer.

Peters has been cast in the role of Quicksilver, joining a star studded cast that includes Jennifer Lawrence, Halle Berry, Michael Fassbender, Hugh Jackman, Ellen Page and James McAvoy.

Quicksilver is the son of Magneto, played by Fassbender, who sometimes works for the side of good and sometimes for the side of evil.

In the follow-up to "X-Men: First Class," the cast of mutants will attempt to travel through time in the hopes of changing a past event that could spell the end of humankind.

"X-Men: Days of Future Past" is due in theaters July 2014.
