A collision between two tractor-trailers left a section of U.S. Highway 74 littered with hundreds of rolls of toilet paper. According to the Charlotte Observer, the North Carolina Highway Patrol closed the westbound lanes while crews cleaned up the mess.
The truck carrying the load of toilet paper was headed eastbound when it ran off the road, struck the guardrail and bounced into a second truck in the westbound lane, writes the Shelby Star.
In addition to the paper spill, troopers say there was a diesel fuel spill which the fire department poured sand on. Officials say the clean-up will take up most of the day Thursday.
The cause of the wreck, which saw one person suffer minor injuries, is still under investigation, reports local news source WCNC. No charges have been filed yet.
