Scania (SVKBY.PK) announced Monday that it will deliver 360 city buses to the state-owned company Syarikat Prasarana Negara Berhad. The buses will operate in the city of Kuantan and in the capital Kuala Lumpur.
According to the company, The Scania city bus model - Scania K 250 UB4x2 - is configured with a low-floor chassis and safety features such as handicap access capability for all passengers. It is equipped with a ramp for full wheelchair access and two docking slots with seatbelts for safe wheelchair anchorage. The body is made of aluminium to reduce weight and fuel consumption, as well as to extend vehicle life.
