Paul Gongaware, a high-ranking AEG exec and member of the promoter's defense, says that he knew Michael Jackson had been taking painkillers since the 1990s. He added, according to the Los Angeles Times, that he didn't know how serious the King of Pop's condition was.

Gongaware, along with AEG, is being sued by the Jackson family for negligence in the hiring of Dr. Conrad Murray, who was convicted of involuntary manslaughter in connection with Jackson's death.

It was revealed that another high-ranking exec, AEG Live Senior Vice President and General Counsel Shawn Trell, referred to Jacko as "the freak" and "creepy" just hours before the company signed him to his This Is It concert deal.

According to CNN, Michael's mother Katherine Jackson left the court weeping after last week's series of upsetting testimonies.
