Bayer (BAYZF.PK,BAYRY.PK,BYR.L) announced the receipt of antitrust clearance from the US Federal Trade Commission, or FTC, with respect to the company's acquisition of Conceptus Inc. (CPTS). Bayer said FTC raised no objection to the transaction within the relevant waiting period under US antitrust law.
The transaction remains conditioned upon a minimum tender of at least a majority of the outstanding shares of Conceptus.
