Pall Corporation (PLL) Thursday reported third-quarter net earnings of $73.1 million or $0.64 per share, compared to $78.9 million or $0.67 per share last year.
Pro forma earnings from continuing operations for the quarter rose to $0.74 per share from $0.61 per share in the comparable quarter last year. On average, nine analysts polled by Thomson Reuters expected earnings of $0.73 per share for the quarter. Analysts' estimates typically exclude special items.
Net sales for the quarter decreased 3% to $641.19 million from $657.98 million last year, while nine analysts estimated revenues of $664.76 million for the quarter.
The company said it expects full year sales to be flat year over year, excluding impact from foreign currency translation. Full-year pro forma earnings is now expected to be in the range of $2.95 to $3.05 per share. Analysts currently estimate earnings of $3.07 per share for the full year.
Earlier, the company expected overall revenue to have flat-to-low single digit growth and full year pro forma earnings of $2.95 to $3.15 per share.
