OmniVision Technologies Inc. (OVTI) reported fourth quarter adjusted EPS of $0.31 after the close Thursday, up from $0.20 a year ago. The consensus estimate was for EPS of $0.21. First quarter adjusted EPS is expected to be between $0.35 and $0.52, compared to the consensus estimate of $0.29.
OmniVision Technologies gapped open sharply higher Friday and rose in early trade, but settled into a range for the majority of the session. Shares finished up by 2.98 at $18.47, with volume at over a 9-month high. The stock surged to a new high for the year.
