Police in Minnesota have arrested a suspect who allegedly stabbed a man to death over the weekend, according to the Alexandria Echo Press.
Officers responded to the incident which took place in Alexandria, approximately 119 miles from Minneapolis. They found Phillip Alstadt, 28, lying on the lawn from apparent stab wounds to the chest.
The county medical examiner was called to the scene and pronounced the man dead.
The stabbing happened during an altercation with a suspect who police say knew the victim. Kody Klimek, the 25-year-old suspect, fled on foot after the incident, but was later caught by police.
Police officials as well as county sheriff's and the Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension are investigating the case. Minnesota's BCA Mobile Crime Lab is also lending a hand in the matter.
