Dell Tuesday announced its expanded worldwide alliance with Oracle. The company said the alliance is designed to help customers of all sizes realize the strength of the combined solutions of both companies.
The two companies will introduce a new x86 infrastructure offering that combines Dell's best-in-class hardware with Oracle's industry-leading software, enabling organizations to deploy and manage applications faster with increased performance, flexibility and value at every scale, Dell said in a statement.
Recognizing Dell's growing presence and importance in enterprise datacenters, Oracle has named Dell a preferred x86 partner on which to deploy Oracle software. With Oracle's strong presence in enterprise software, Dell has named Oracle a preferred enterprise infrastructure partner, including Oracle Linux, Oracle VM, and Oracle Enterprise Manager.
