Air Canada (AC_A.TO) said Thursday that its system traffic for the month of May rose 2.9 percent on a system-wide capacity increase of 2.8 percent.
Traffic, measured in RPMs, was 4.650 billion compared to 4.520 billion last year. Capacity, measured in ASMs, was 5.683 billion compared to 5.530 billion a year ago.
System load factor was 81.8 percent, compared to 81.7 percent in May 2012, an increase of 0.1 percentage points.
Air Canada reports traffic results on a system-wide basis, including regional airlines from which Air Canada purchases capacity.
