Gainers:

ANN INC (ANN) is up over 3 percent to $32.22. The company's first quarter profit declined from the prior year period, yet topped Wall Street view. Total net sales improved but missed the consensus estimate. The company forecast second quarter sales above Street view. However, the company lowered its fiscal year sales guidance.

Ciena Corp. (CIEN) is rising 10 percent to $18.03. The company's second quarter net loss narrowed from the previous year period and its adjusted earnings per share topped Wall Street view. Total revenues for the quarter also came above the consensus estimate. The company also forecast third quarter revenue above Street view.

Conns Inc. (CONN) is gaining 8 percent to $52.55. The company's first quarter earnings and total revenues were higher than the year-ago quarter and were above analysts' expectations. The company raised its adjusted earnings guidance as well as same stores sales growth forecast for the fiscal year.

SodaStream International Ltd. (SODA) is up 6 percent to $74.00 amidst rumors that Pepsico, Inc. (PEP) is eying the company.

Novavax, Inc. (NVAX) is surging 11 percent to $2.12. The company announced that it had successfully produced a vaccine candidate designed to provide protection against the recently emerging Middle East Respiratory Syndrome Coronavirus.

Decliners:

Vera Bradley, Inc. (VRA) is falling 8 percent to $20.60 following the release of its quarterly results.

Carlyle Group LP (CG) is falling over 1 percent to $26.57.
