Led Zeppelin's John Paul Jones is back at work, only this time he is writing music for an opera.
"It's based on the 'Ghost Sonata' by August Strindberg," he told Red Carpet News at the after party for the London launch of the Philip Glass opera, The Perfect American. "Right now I'm halfway through the first act."
Jones added that one of the biggest challenges of writing an opera is the "sheer scale of it" and that he will soon be finding out the other challenges it presents. He added that he was drawn to opera because "it's unlike anything else, it's the emotion, the passion."
The discussion then turned to talks of a possible Zeppelin reunion, though Jones was quick to say that "2014 is full of opera for me."
