Tool drummer Danny Carey is using the band's downtime to work on a new project called Volto!, who will release their debut album, Incitare, on July 23.
Carey was joined by fellow Tool family member, producer Joe Baressi, who recorded the upcoming album during live sessions, as well as Tool guitarist Adam Jones, who teamed with artist Rick Griffin to craft the album cover.
Volto! got their start in Los Angeles, playing cover songs at a small jazz club in the San Fernando Valley. The group features Carey, John "Volto" Ziegler (Pigmy Love Circus) and Lance Morrison (Alanis Morrissette) in its ranks.
