Paul McCartney is set to appear in a special one-hour episode of the Colbert Report. The interview and performance special is scheduled for June 12 and will serve to promote the reissue of McCartney's classic release Wings Over America.
Stephen Colbert broke the news in an official statement joking: "I think this McCartney kid's got something special and I'm gonna put him on the map!"
It will mark Paul's second appearance on the Colbert Report and his first live performance. Sir Paul first hit the show in 2009. It will also be the show's second hour-long special, following a segment with Radiohead in 2011.
McCartney is currently on his Out There tour.
