Gap Inc. (GPS) reported a 7 percent increase in May same-store sales after the close Thursday.
Gap gapped open higher Friday, but was range-bound throughout the session. The stock ended the session with a gain of 1.11 at $42.09 on above average volume. Gap rose past the upper end of over a 3-week range and set a new high for the year.
