"Wonderwall," the 1995 hit from Oasis, was voted the biggest song of the past 20 years in a poll conducted by Australian radio network. Nearly one million votes were counted in the poll.
Voters in the poll, which was part of Triple J's annual Hottest 100 survey, were allowed to choose any song released between January 1, 1993 and December 31, 2012.
The White Stripes came in second on the list with "Seven Nation Army," while Jeff Buckley's "Last Goodbye" came in third. Hilltop Hoods ("The Nosebleed Section") and the Verve ("Bittersweet Symphony") rounded out the top five.
Several artists on the poll had multiple entries including Daft Punk, Silverchair and the Killers with three apiece and the Smashing Pumpkins and Red Hot Chili Peppers with two apiece.
