Microsoft revealed that its next generation gaming console Xbox One will carry a price tag of $499 and will launch in 21 countries in November. The company also announced series of games for its latest console.

The Xbox One, which replaces its predecessor Xbox 360, will be available for $499.99 in US, £429 in Britain and €499 in Europe. With the half-a-grand price tag, Microsoft targets affluent and hardcore gamers to buy the Xbox One.

Xbox One, which was unveiled last month, is an "all-in-one home entertainment system," that features a new Kinect sensor, a voice control system, live TV and Skype among others.

The Xbox One features an eight-core CPU with 8GB of RAM, a Blu-ray drive, USB 3.0, HDMI in/out, 500GB hard drive and 802.11 wireless with Wi-Fi Direct.

Microsoft also unveiled Xbox One games at the Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3) trade show, including games Forza Motorsport 5, Ryse: Son of Rome, Dead Rising 3, Halo Xbox One, Kinect Sports Rivals, Project Spark and Quantum Break.
