Sophie McShera ("Downton Abbey") is in talks to join the cast of Disney's live action version of "Cinderella." The film, directed by Kenneth Branagh ("Thor"), has already cast Lily James and Cate Blanchett.

McShera would play a wicked stepsister in the production with James in the title role and Blanchett as the wicked stepmother. Richard Madden will play the prince, while the other wicked stepsister has gone to Holliday Grainger, according to the Hollywood Reporter.

Aline Brosh McKenna ("27 Dresses," "The Devil Wears Prada") and Chris Weitz wrote the film, which begins filming in London this fall with David Barron, Simon Kinberg and Allison Shearmur producing.

McShera currently plays a kitchen maid turned assistant cook on PBS' "Abbey."
