Live Nation Entertainment (LYV) announced around mid-afternoon Wednesday that it was victorious in its arbitration against CTS Eventim AG. The arbitrator ruled that the company validly terminated its ticketing software license agreement with CTS in June 2010.
Live Nation Entertainment climbed sharply after the announcement and finished with a gain of 2.33 at $16.17 on the highest volume of the year. The stock surged past the upper end of a 1-month range and set a new high for the year.
