Mujtaba Patang, the Interior Minister Afghanistan, will visit NATO Headquarters in Brussels on Thursday, the western military alliance said in a press release.
According to the press release, the Afghan Interior minister will hold talks with the NATO Deputy Secretary General, Ambassador Alexander Vershbow, during his visit.
Their talks are expected to focus on the transfer of security responsibilities to Afghan national forces from the NATO-led International Security Assistance Force (ISAF), and NATO's support to the Afghan government after the withdrawal of the foreign coalition forces by the end of 2014.
In a separate press release, the NATO announced that Gunnar Bragi Sveinsson, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Iceland, will also visit its headquarters on Thursday.
During his visit, Sveinsson will hold talks with NATO Secretary-General Anders Fogh Rasmussen, the second press release added.
