Randy Travis is paying tribute to the late George Jones with his new song "Tonight I'm Playin' Possum," featuring Joe Nichols.
"It was an honor when I received a request to record this tribute to George Jones, and after I heard how well Keith Gattis had written "Tonight I'm Playin' Possum," I was excited to record it," Travis says in a press release.
"Thanks to Joe Nichols for coming in and helping on this project."
Fans at the CMA Music Festival last week were treated to an early premiere of the song at the Remembering George Jones panel discussion on June 7. The panel also included Jones' widow Nancy, longtime drummer Bobby Birkhead, John Rich, Jamey Johnson and Country Weekly's Joseph Hudak.
"Tonight I'm Playin' Possum" is currently streaming at Travis' website.
