Australia New Vehicle Sales Unchanged In May

Sales of new vehicles in Australia remained unchanged in May from a month earlier, the latest figures from the Australian Bureau of Statistics showed Monday.

The number of vehicles sold in May was 93,209 on a seasonally adjusted basis. This was largely unchanged from April, but 0.2 percent higher compared with last year.

Sales of passenger vehicles decreased 1.3 percent from April and sales of sports utility vehicles fell 0.1 percent.
