Volvo Group (VOLVY.PK) said Monday that its deliveries from the Group's truck operations for the month of May 2013 declined 9% compared with the year-earlier month.
The total Group's deliveries, which include Volvo, Mack, Renault Trucks, UD and Eicher, for the month totaled 16,732 vehicles, compared to 18,405 vehicles last year.
In May 9,689 Volvo trucks were delivered, an increase of 4% compared with the same month last year.
In Europe 3,556 vehicles were delivered during May, down 11% compared with May 2012
May deliveries in North America increased 10% to 2,416 vehicles in comparison with the same period in 2012.
Deliveries for South America increased 30% in May to 2,178 commercial vehicles compared with May 2012. May deliveries in Brazil increased 40% to 1,750 trucks compared with May 2012.
Deliveries for Mack in May totaled 2,133 vehicles, a 21% decrease compared with May 2012.
In May, 3,414 Renault trucks were delivered, a decrease of 25% compared with May 2012.
