The surpluses on trade in goods and services contributed to the positive development in the current account balance, while the income balance and the current transfers balance ended in a deficit.

The surplus on trade in goods fell to CZK 19.2 billion from CZK 23.97 billion last month. Meanwhile, the surplus on services rose to CZK 6.35 billion from CZK 5.48 billion.

The income account deficit came in at CZK 16.16 billion compared to CZK 55.26 billion shortfall a month ago. The deficit on current transfers widened to CZK 5.24 billion from CZK 3.5 billion.

Capital inflow on the financial account under European Central Bank methodology was CZK 2.3 billion, the report said.
