A Chicago man is dead this week after allegedly hanging out of a moving vehicle and hitting a parked car on the street. Orlando Mayo Jr., 30, of Burnham, Illinois, was riding in a car on Chicago's South Side, when the incident occurred, according to the Chicago Tribune.
Mayo had allegedly stuck his body out of the front passenger seat of the vehicle, which was driving on the 2000 block of East 79th Street in the South Shore neighborhood on Sunday evening. His upper body reportedly struck a parked car, pulling him from the vehicle.
The Tribune reports that Mayo was riding in a red 1987 Chevrolet Caprice, which hit another parked car and then fled the scene. Mayo was pronounced dead on the scene by first responders and was taken to the Northwestern Medical Center, where an autopsy will take place later this week.
