La-Z-Boy Inc. (LZB) reported fourth quarter EPS of $0.33 after the close Tuesday, down from $0.37 a year ago. The consensus estimate was for EPS of $0.28. Sales improved 9.8 percent to $359.5 million from $327.39 million last year. Analysts expected revenues of $357.67 million. The stock is now down 0.48 on 135K shares.
La-Z-Boy rose in early trade Tuesday and extended its gains in the final 90 minutes of the session. The stock finished up by 1.22 at $20.28 on strong volume. La-Z-Boy broke out past resistance and set a new high for the year.
