Texas Industries, Inc. (TXI) said Tuesday that its Board of Directors has appointed Tom Ransdell as Chairman of the Board, effective June 18.
Ransdell, who has been an independent director of Texas Industries since 2005, fills the position of Chairman created by the untimely death of Bob Rogers on June 11.
Rogers was the son of Texas Industries founder Ralph Rogers, and was CEO of the company from 1970 until 2004 when he retired. From 2004 until June 11, 2013 he served as Chairman of the Texas Industries board.
