RTI International Metals, Inc. (RTI), a producer of titanium mill products, Wednesday said that its unit RTI Claro, Inc., entered into a long-term contract, a replacement for the recently expired supply arrangement, with Bombardier Aerospace (BBD_A.TO,BBD_B.TO), to supply precision machined components and assemblies for several Bombardier aircraft models. The deal holds good until 2019.
With the new agreement, RTI Claro expands its presence across Bombardier's product line to include new platforms. Additionally, RTI Claro will also provide larger aluminum components to Bombardier along with the other products and services. RTI expects to begin delivering these additional component and assembly solutions as its new manufacturing equipment investments come online this year. RTI Claro has been a supplier to Bombardier for over 25 years.
"...This is aligned with our growth strategy to become a provider of product solutions across all stages of the aerospace supply chain." said Dawne Hickton, Vice Chair, President and CEO of RTI.
