A. H. Belo CEO To Retire In September - Quick Facts

A. H. Belo Corporation (AHC), an owner and operator of four daily newspapers and related websites, Wednesday said that its Chief Executive Officer Robert Decherd would retire in September and be succeeded by James Moroney III.

Dechard, who served as the company's CEO since its spin-off from Belo Corp., will become the vice chairman and continue to serve the Board. Moroney will continue to be the publisher and CEO of The Morning News, the company said. Before becoming CEO of The Morning News, Moroney held numerous roles in Belo's senior management, including president of its Television Group and president of Belo Interactive.
