More charges are expected to be brought against Ariel Castro next week as authorities are planning to bring additional evidence to a grand jury about the man from Cleveland who is accused of holding three women captive in his home.
Reuters reports that Ariel Castro, 52, has been charged with rape and kidnapping for imprisoning Amanda Berry, 27, Gina DeJesus, 23, and Michelle Knight, 32. The three women, along with Berry's daughter, age 6, were rescued back in May from Castro's house by authorities.
Castro has pleaded not guilty to over 300 charges pending against him. The prosecution is planning to indict him on more charges related to those crimes.
Castro has another pre-trial hearing scheduled for the end of June, before his official trial, which is set to begin this August.
