The surviving members of the Doors, John Densmore and Robby Krieger, have announced plans to play a memorial show for bandmate Ray Manzarek, who died last month at the age of 74.
Densmore settled his differences with Manzarek prior to his death, and was delighted to not only put to rest the decade long feud, but to also be on speaking terms once again with Krieger.
"The inner circle knew Ray had cancer for a while," Densmore told Rolling Stone.
"Then I heard he was really sick and called him. He said thank you for the prayers, and told me chemo was f*cked. So there was a closing, thank God. I said to Robby a few weeks ago in an email: 'Let's have our musical reunion for Ray. Let's play some Doors songs. It's like to break the ice that way.' It should happen pretty soon."
