France Telecom Announces Name, Stock Symbol Change To Orange - Quick Facts

France Telecom (ORAN) announced that its company name and stock symbol will change from France Telecom to Orange, effective July 1. The Group said the name change signals its intention to simplify and modernise profile and image for the benefit of stakeholders. Effective July 1, all of the Group's products and services in France and in over 30 countries will be sold under the Orange brand name.

France Telecom said the name change completes a process started in 2006 aimed at responding to both the changing conditions in the telecommunications market.
