A Missouri woman says she was kicked out of a local waterpark because of the bikini she was wearing.
The 43-year-old woman had just arrived to the park along with four other family members. She claims a staff member approached her when she had just gotten into the pool with her niece, telling her to put shorts on, KSHB reports.
Madelyn Sheaffer asked for the supervisor who soon responded to the situation and told her to cover up or leave the park. This led her to ask the supervisor to call the police so she can file a complaint.
She was taken off the property by officials when they arrived; she claims they sympathized with her.
Sheaffer said, "I just felt like I was singled out. I felt like it was both age and body discrimination and I felt like I could look around me and I could see a handful of other girls half my age, wearing the same size swimming suit and not being singled out and told to put on clothes or leave."
Employees from the Adventure Oasis Water Park had no comment on the situation.
