Authorities in Burlington, North Carolina arrested two individuals on Friday after cocaine was found in their car during a routine traffic stop.
Local television station WGHP reports that Carlos Lopez-Rojas, 34, and Yessica Cortez, 24, were traveling in their Jeep with two children when their car was pulled over.
Authorities then found 614.5 grams of cocaine, which were seized along with $173 in cash, and the Jeep in which they were driving.
Lopez-Rojas and Cortez were both arrested and charged with trafficking cocaine by possession, trafficking cocaine by transportation, possession with intent to sell cocaine and two counts of contributing to the delinquency of a minor. They may be facing additional charges, as well.
The two were taken to an area detention center and held on a $125,000 bail.
