Eric Church raised over $100,000 for MusiCares at the charity's 2nd Annual Put a Club in My Hand invitational golf tournament. The tourney went down at Nashville's Gaylord Springs Golf Links, hosting about 160 golfers.
Those who attended the event included artists, musicians, tour staff and other music industry professionals, as well as several LPGA members.
MusiCares' mission, according to its website, is to "provide a safety net of critical assistance for music people in times of need."
"MusiCares' services and resources cover a wide range of financial, medical and personal emergencies, and each case is treated with integrity and confidentiality."
Last year, the Put a Club in My Hand event raised $50,000, meaning that Church and company doubled the total just one year later. According to Church, a third annual event is in the works.
